Shortly after, he was drafted into the United States Army and his assignment was in the photographic department. In the 70s Bert Stern started to create photograph portraits and fashion. Bert Stern became famous for "The Last Sitting." A collection of over 2500 photos in a short three day period of Marilyn Monroe for Vogue Magazine.
