Jordi Alcaraz is a contemporary Spanish artist whose artistic mediums include the use of sculptures, drawings, and paintings. He is of the classical tradition, and his works are reminiscent of the Surrealist, Abstract Expressionist, and Arte Povera movements. Perhaps best known for his use of empty space inside his works, Jordi Alcaraz also utilizes the malleability of different materials, in order to suggest the always changing nature of the physical world. Alcarez's work comments on the possibility of alternate dimensions. Jordi Alcaraz's style has been compared to fellow Spaniard, Antonio Gaudi, and to Robert Motherwell. In 2010, Jordi Alcaraz made his debut exhibit in the United States to rave reviews, where his exhibit was heralded as one of the ten best exhibits in Southern California that year.
