Annie-Mie Van Kerckhoven is Belgian, she is an artist who paints, draws, writes and creates computer and video art. She also goes by AMVK and is highly interested in the images of women in the media. She studies the supra-moral ties in today's society. One example of this are the ties between sex and technology.

Her work involves various information systems, including the unconscious and the obscene from the female point of view. In 2005 she began work on a conceptual and visual trialogue involving the mystical Marguerite Parete, philosopher Herbert Marcuse and the hermit like Giordano Bruno. Some related artists are Zenita Komad, Heide Hatry, and Sofie Bird Bird Møller.
