Original Signed Artworks & Limited Edition Prints For Sale

Best known as a pioneer that inspired pop art, Eduardo Paolozzi was a Scottish artist whose works were focused on sculpture creation as well as art in general. After completing his schooling at the Edinburg College of Art as well as the Slade School of Fine Art at University College London Paolozzi found his way to Paris.

« Sometimes I feel like a wizard in Toytown, transforming a bunch of carrots into pomegranates. »
Eduardo Paolozzi
Here he meant several other great artists such as Jean Arp and Alberto Giacometti who would be inspirations for later works. While the majority of Eduardo Paolozzi's work was done in sculpture form Paolozzi also dabbled in other artistic forms of work including acting and writing.

« Rational order in the technological world can be as fascinating as the fetishes of a Congo witch-doctor - scientific phenomena
become significant images. »

Eduardo Paolozzi

However, these were simply a downplayed means to many of his notable sculptures that had become widely recognized as many works were presented on various projects or among other known architectural structures. Notable works include The Faraday sculpture located at the University of Birmingham, the Athena sculpture and the Redditch mosaics.

What is Art Brut?

What is Art Brut?

A French term that means "raw art". It was invented by Jean Dubuffet in an attempt to describe and explain naive and graffiti art made outside the normal fine art's academic tradition. He termed it as "outsider art", made by loners, prisoners, the mentally ill and other groups of people considered marginalized. It is made without thought to presentation or imitation.
