Art Intervention is art which is intended to interact with an existing situation, structure, artwork, audience, or institution. Interventions became popular in the 1960s, as artists sought to effect change in political and social contexts. Artist-in-residence programs were inspired by this art movement.

This is one of the forms of abstract art that uses geometric forms placed into a non-illusionistic space (though not always) and then combined into non representational(non objective) compositions. From the experience and results of the many years of research in the area of art, artists have suggested that the process of geometric abstraction can be a solution to the modern problems where some artists have been rejecting illusionistic practices.

Multimedia refers to the art technique of combining several single mediums together into one composition. Sometimes, it is called mixed-media. Artists often create new, personal techniques using combinations of art materials in different ways, and the new techniques become part of their unique artistic style.
