Junk art

Art that tries to demonstrate that any kind of material or object can be used to create a wide range of paintings, sculptures, installations and assemblages. Many Junk art works have been produced by use of the ordinary materials around us. By simply applying knowledge and skills of art, great works can be produced.

Found Object

Found object is the term used for a man-made or natural object, or object fragment which an artist either finds or buys, keeping it for inspiration or as a work of art. The artist may also modify it, or use it for collage or assemblage.

CoBrA

CoBrA stands for Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam; this group was formed with a desire to break away from the then existing movements. The Western society criticisms made it experimentally evolve to become a reputable international movement. CoBrA was started by Karel Appel, Joseph Noiret, Corneille, Christian Dotremont, Constant and Asger Jorn on November 8th 1948 at Notre Dame Cafe, Paris where its manifesto was signed. Their unifying factor was the need for freedom of both form and color and their working was based on experiment and spontaneity.
