What is a Catalogue Raisonne?

Catalogue Raisonne is an annotated listing including all the works of an artist. It is a comprehensive list including many specific details which help to identify the artist’s output in all media or one particular material. Some details include title, dimensions, date, medium, and location.

Gelatin Silver Print

Print made through the silver process(Gelatin) using the currently available photographic materials, the printing papers and the black and white films. In this process, the silver-salts suspension in gelatin is coated to a support that could be a film or flexible plastic, a glass, a resin-coated or baryta paper. These materials are light-sensitive and very stable under the usual keeping conditions.

Pastel

Art medium in a stick form that consists of powdered pigment and binder. Pigments used for pastes are the same as those used in producing art media(colored). Pastel's color effect is closely similar to dry pigments than the effects of any other related process. Artworks produced using pastels are called pastel painting, pastel drawing or simply pastel. Pastel can also mean the production of artwork using pastels.

Embossing

Embossing is the technique of decorating or creating images with a raised design. Artists often change the shape of paper to create raised edges with many levels. The process is worked from the reverse side of the paper, using a template and sanded dowel.
