What is a diptych?

Diptych is the term used to describe an artwork which consists of two panels. These may be painted, carved, or created using a number of mixed media techniques. Some are attached using hinges, allowing for closing and protection, while others are displayed side by side.

Artwork which employs more than one medium. It is however, different from multimedia art that refers to artwork that traditionally combines distinct media of visual art. Multimedia art has a wider scope as compared to mixed media art. Many effects in art can be achieved through mixed media.

Digital print on canvas

Neo-Dada

Minor visual and audio art movement whose intent is similar to that of Dada artwork. While this art is a revival of some of Dada's objectives, Neo Dada emphasizes the importance of produced artwork rather than the concept used to generate the work. It is regarded as the foundation of Pop art, Nouveau realisme and Fluxus. It is known for its use of absurdist contrast, popular imagery and modern materials.
