What is a laser print?

A Laser print is made using red, blue and green laser to expose light onto photographic silver halide paper. The exposed paper is processed with photographic chemicals to produce an archival quality print. The digital technology produces sharp images and highly uniform color.

Colour Field Painting

Colour field painting is an abstract style which features large areas of a single color. The first use of the term described the work of three abstract expressionist American painters, Barnett Newman, Mark Rothko and Clyfford Still in the 1950s.

Dansaekhwa

This group of Korean paintings started in the mid-1970's. Sometimes called "Tansaekhwa" meaning "monochrome painting" in Korean, these artworks involved pushing paint, soaking the canvas, ripping the paper or some form of manipulation with painting materials.

Lettrism

Lettrism is an art form which uses letters, words and symbols to create an artwork. The art form was popularized in the 1950s in America, but was established in 1940s Paris. Lettrisme is the French spelling of the movement, and the French word for letter.
