What is a monochrome?
Describes paintings, photographs, designs or drawings of one color or values that have one color. Monochromatic objects have shades with limited hues or colors. However, for an image, the term monochrome is often used to refer to black and white. or gray scale though it may be used to mean other combinations that contain tones of one color.Image © BoConcept/Shutterstock
Drawings and writing painted, scratched or scribbled on a wall or any other surface mostly in a public place. Graffiti art is wide and ranges from small to elaborate writings or wall paintings. This art has been in existence since the ancient times with some of the commonly used examples dating back to Roman Empire, Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt.
Performance presented within the context of fine art that is traditionally interdisciplinary. It may be scripted or unscripted, random or orchestrated carefully; spontaneous or may carefully be planned without the participation of the audience. Performance can be through the media or live and the artist performing can either be present or not. The situation can involve the four basic elements: space, performer's body/his presence through a medium, time and performer-audience relationship. Artwork constitutes actions of a group or an individual at a particular time and space.
