What is a multiple?

Series of art objects that are identical commissioned and produced by an artist in accordance with his idea, usually a limited edition that is specifically made for the purpose of selling. Multiples have been said by many to be the most reasonably priced and accessible contemporary art out there in the market, fun and value for money. They are brought together by their lack of unique nature that's usually regarded as a vital prerequisite in artwork.

Happening

Happening is the term used to describes artistic, theatrical events held by artists of the 1950s and 60s. These events were usually staged in a gallery installation or planned environment which featured audience participation, lighting, sounds and slide projections. Later, performance art included the artists.

Cubism

Cubism was the attempt to depict different views of objects or figures together in one picture. Artists George Braque and Pablo Picasso began this style around 1907, and the name cubism resulted from their compositional use of geometric outlines resembling cubes.

Tachisme

French abstract painting style that gained popularity between 1940-1950. It is often interpreted as a European equivalent of abstract expressionism. There are however, stylistic differences between the two art types. Tachisme was initially part of Art Informel which in favor of more intuitive expression, left geometric abstraction. Tachisme came as a reaction to artworks of Cubism. However, it is closely related to Informalism.
