What is actionism?

What is actionism?

Short-violent art movement in the 20th century. Can be regarded as a major part of the many independent struggles and efforts to build the "action art" in the 1960s. Well known participants of this movement were Arnulf Rainer and Hermann Nitsch.

Lithograph

Printing method based on the principle that water and oil cannot mix. It may be used for printing artwork or text onto a paper or any other suitable material for printing. Originally, an image drawn using wax, fat or oil onto a lithographic limestone surface or plate was used.

East Indian ink

East Indian ink is a medium made of fine soot, called lampblack, which is combined with water. The carbon molecules make a black, waterproof ink. It has been used in India since the 4th century BC. Artists use the ink for writing, drawing, and painting.

Coloured pencil

Coloured pencils have a round core of different colored pigment encased in wood or are art sticks made with only solid pigment. The pigment is held together with a binder. Drawing spreads these ingredients on a surface, transferring color in varied widths.
