What is an Aquatint?

What is an Aquatint?

An Intaglio printmaking art technique. Marks capable of holding dye or ink are made on the plate by the artist then passed trough a press together with a paper, resulting in transfer of the held ink to the sheet of paper. Depending on the technique, the process can be repeated for a number of times. It uses application of mordant to a metal plate just like etching.

Neue Wilden

Neue Wilden is the term German artist used for neo-expressionism. In the 1970s and 80s, expressive painting emerged once more in the country, and artists embraced the intense colors and broad brushstrokes used. The movement grew in opposition to minimal and conceptual art.

Found Object

Found object is the term used for a man-made or natural object, or object fragment which an artist either finds or buys, keeping it for inspiration or as a work of art. The artist may also modify it, or use it for collage or assemblage.

Hyper modernism

Hyper-modernism is a cultural art movement which uses recent technological approaches and materials, but is in diametrical opposition to the modernist styles of art which preceded it. Hypermodernist artists create extremely realistic images, using all media, which may look like photographs. Image copyright Kashifv
