Spatialism

Art movement that originated from Italy in the year 1947 when Lucio Fontana founded it with an intention to synthesize sound, color, movement and space into an entirely new type of art. The main ideas of the movement came from his manifesto that was published in 1496 where he spoke of "spatial art" to keep the spirit of the post war age. The ideas were further boosted by the five manifestos that followed the first one. Though his ideas were vague, his outlook was strongly influential probably because he was the first artist from Europe to promote art as a performance and gesture.

Pixel art

Pixel art is a specific digital art created pixel by pixel. It is similar to making a mosaic, where small bits are individually placed, creating larger artworks. Nostalgia is credited for the pixel art trend which uses video game art techniques in new art.

Dau Al Set

This movement was an attempt to show the conscious, as well as the unconscious mind through art. Initially it started off as an offshoot of Surrealism, but grew over time to be much more distinct. Dau Al Set was the first artistic movement in Catalonia post-World War II. The name Dau Al Set translates to "the seventh face of the dice" in Catalan, which is meant to describe the movements character.
