What is cement?
Cement is any variety of mixtures of clay, limestone, water, sand and gravel which forms concrete to be used as material for building things. To cement also means to join or unite. In art, cement can mean the process of gluing securely.Image © Pattypattra/Shutterstock
This is an art movement equivalent to the French Bad Painting and the Neo-expressionism in Europe and America. This art term was coined by Ben Vautier and Fluxus. Robert Combas, Francois Boisrond, Herve Di Rosa and Remi Blanchard formed the Figuration Libre group back in 1981. This art term can be interpreted as "free style" art.
Commonly known as the 2nd world war art movement that developed in the New York and gained popularity in American painting from as early as 1940s. Since then, it has evolved to become a unique art movement and has enjoyed being a favorite to some well known artists.
