What is Ceramic?

Ceramic is a term used to describe objects made from clay. Ceramic objects may be decorative or functional. Both types have been made since at least 4,000 B.C. Ceramic art includes making, decorating and baking these objects in a kiln (special high temperature oven).

Kinetic art

International movement referring to both apparent and real motion of art created in the 1920s and 1960s. It is explained as art emerging from any medium containing some movement that depends on motion for effect or can be perceived by the viewer. Canvas paintings are some of the notable and earliest examples of this art type. Speaking pertinently, kinetic art today refers to 3 dimensional figures and sculptures such as those operated by machines or those that move naturally. It encompasses a variety of styles and techniques that overlap.

Action painting

Action painting is the term which describes the physical act of painting as an essential part of creating an artwork. Action painting includes gestural use of painting tools, splashing and dripping paint, or dancing and moving while applying paint to a work of art.

Cracking Art Group

Italian art movement that comprises of artists from Italy, Belgium and France known for creation of public installations that include use of recyclable plastic to make massive animal sculptures. The artwork examines and signifies the rupture that exists between synthetic and natural worlds with plastic construction symbolizing synthetic world and the animals referring to the natural world.
