What is Hard Edge Art?

Hard Edge art is a style of abstract painting which became popular in the 1960s. It included areas of color differentiated by the use of crisp, sharp edges which are precisely painted with geometric precision. Jules Langster described the art as hard-edge painting.

Wax

Wax is a solid material derived from plant, animal and petroleum sources. Wax can help paints to resist wear. It is used to make sculptures, wax crayons, colored pencils, and for encaustic painting; where colored beeswax shaped with special tools makes raised surfaces.

Gelatin Silver Print

Print made through the silver process(Gelatin) using the currently available photographic materials, the printing papers and the black and white films. In this process, the silver-salts suspension in gelatin is coated to a support that could be a film or flexible plastic, a glass, a resin-coated or baryta paper. These materials are light-sensitive and very stable under the usual keeping conditions.
