What is marble?

Marble is rare and expensive metamorphic rock comprise of limestone. It has been used for centuries to create statues, decorative floors and walls. It is translucent and durable, and used for free standing statues and relief sculptures. It’s chiseled away in increments when carving statues.

Lowbrow

Derogatory term that refers to some popular culture forms. It describes an art movement that began in Los Angeles in 1970s. Lowbrow relates to a person with little intellectual or taste interest.

Hard Edge art is a style of abstract painting which became popular in the 1960s. It included areas of color differentiated by the use of crisp, sharp edges which are precisely painted with geometric precision. Jules Langster described the art as hard-edge painting.

Drawings and writing painted, scratched or scribbled on a wall or any other surface mostly in a public place. Graffiti art is wide and ranges from small to elaborate writings or wall paintings. This art has been in existence since the ancient times with some of the commonly used examples dating back to Roman Empire, Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt.
