What is mezzotint?

A process that relates to production of technically difficult or large artworks. It happens when a designer or lone artist is unable to realize a creation of conception or design of his or her own and seeks assistance in a fabrication studio. Such a studio has access to specialized machinery, resources and the necessary labor required in order to excellently execute complex art projects.
Italian version for Neo Expressionism that refers to an art movement that moved across Italy and some other parts of Western Europe between 1970s and 1980s. It simply means beyond avant-garde. The art movement came as a response to conceptual art's explosion that got many expression mediums by reintroducing emotion and reviving painting. Transvanguardia marked a turning point back to mythic imagery and figurative art which at the time, was rediscovered.
Activist art is art created to address social and political issues. It is a kind of performance art because it is presented in public, working closely with the community which will create it. One example could be creating and posting social protest fliers in exhibition.
