What is montage?

Cynical realism is the term first used in 1992 by art critic Li Xianting to describe the Beijing artist group which painted satirical social realist paintings. The group sought to depict the psychological turmoil experienced when China was struggling with new political ideology.
This is an art movement equivalent to the French Bad Painting and the Neo-expressionism in Europe and America. This art term was coined by Ben Vautier and Fluxus. Robert Combas, Francois Boisrond, Herve Di Rosa and Remi Blanchard formed the Figuration Libre group back in 1981. This art term can be interpreted as "free style" art.
Sometimes referred to as Conceptualism. It is an art where idea(s) or concept(s) included in the work come before material concerns and traditional aesthetic. Many of these conceptual artworks can be constructed by any person by simply following instructions written. The concept or idea is the most fundamental aspect of artwork.
