Etching and Aquatint

Etching and Aquatint are terms related to printing. An Aquatint has the master printing plate etched with microscopic pits and cracks to produce unlimited gradations in tone. This helps to re-create the broad and flat tints seen in watercolor drawings and ink washes.

Laser print

A Laser print is made using red, blue and green laser to expose light onto photographic silver halide paper. The exposed paper is processed with photographic chemicals to produce an archival quality print. The digital technology produces sharp images and highly uniform color.

Marker

Marker is the term used for a wide array of drawing tools made with colorful inks which dry quickly. They vary in size and colorant, which may be ink, dye or paint. They are available with tip variations and make smooth marks with distinct edges.
